REGISTERED DIETITiAN PROVIDING Virtual nutrition services in Alberta, Canada.
At the most basic level food provides function to the body. It gives us energy to think, to work, and to play. But our relationship with food isn’t just about the functions food provides our bodies - food can be social, it can be nostalgic, it can be a source of comfort, and of course it can be delicious. For some, food can be a source of anxiety, whether it is fear of what the food will do in your body, or fear of how to make the “correct” food decision. My role is to help food to be functional to your body, while also allowing it to achieve its functions as intended in your life.
Although there are general nutrition recommendations, a “one size fits all approach” to nutrition and lifestyle modification doesn’t work. We all have different relationships with food, different interests, different abilities to access food, different social contexts, and are in different seasons of life. I will work with you to optimize your nutritional health, while honouring the context you are in. I want you to find joy in your relationship with food, I want you to feel confident about the food decisions you are making, and I want you to care for your body to the best of your ability - in the context you are in.

Although I am very passionate about nutrition and food, I believe there is more to life than what you feed your body. Your dignity and worth do not come from the food choices you make, your appearance, or your ability to make certain food choices. Because of this I will treat you with respect, honour your choices around food, and never make you feel shame about your health. I look forward to getting to know you and the context you are in. For those that have a challenging relationship with food, this is a safe space for you. Your relationship with food (including past history of eating disorders) will inform what recommendations will be made. If you have any questions about my services - fill out the form below.
